About

Meet Aliscia Andrews

Aliscia Andrews is a working mom, a Marine Corps veteran and a national security policy expert. She was born in Hampton, VA and spent her childhood traveling the U.S. while her father served in the Air Force. As a child, she was actively engaged in the Church, played sports, and volunteered in her community. In the fall of 2005, after watching a high school friend make the ultimate sacrifice for our county, she knew her calling was to serve in the Marines.

In 2010, Aliscia deployed with the 24th Marine Expeditionary Unit for the maiden voyage of the USS Mesa Verde. While serving, she provided Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Relief following the devastating earthquake in Haiti and continued to serve throughout Europe, the Horn of Africa, and the Middle East.

Following her tenure in the Marine Corps, Aliscia continued to refine her analytical skills in both the public and private sectors. She completed her MBA in 2015 at Ashford University and continued on to attain a Certificate in Cybersecurity Strategy Management from Georgetown University the following year. Her work focused primarily on finding solutions to challenging government problems as a strategic policy advisor in support of multiple government agencies both in and out of the Intelligence Community.

In November of 2019, frustrated by how out of touch politicians in the 10th District were failing her community, Aliscia decided to run for Congress. She won the Republican nomination against deeply established opponents and received over 200,000 votes in the general election.

Following the election, Aliscia remained deeply involved in keeping leaders accountable in Northern Virginia. She brought attention to Loudoun County’s refusal to open the schools in 2021, and helped spark the viral news story of “the mad dad” testifying at the Loudoun County School Board. She was an early leader of the “Parents Matter” movement that quickly spread both around the Commonwealth and across the country.

An advisor to the Glenn Youngkin campaign, she worked tirelessly to elect three statewide Republicans for the first time since 2009. Recognizing her extensive national security expertise and her eagerness for public service, Governor Youngkin appointed Aliscia as Virginia’s first-ever Deputy Secretary of Cybersecurity in January of 2022.

In that position, she played a critical role in elevating the cybersecurity posture of the Commonwealth. She developed a priority-based cybersecurity program and a comprehensive training program that strengthened the cybersecurity culture of Virginia’s government.

Soon after, Aliscia was elevated and appointed Deputy Secretary of Homeland Security and Homeland Security Advisor to the Governor. She provided strategic leadership, enhanced the readiness of emergency response systems and implemented the first Cyber Security Incident Response plan, which outlined strategies to neutralize cyber security threats. She also conducted oversight of various government offices including the Virginia Department of Emergency Management, the Virginia Parole Board, the Department of Corrections and the Virginia State Police. She is deeply proud of the advances she helped lead in protecting the security and safety of the Commonwealth.

With an accomplished record of service, Aliscia is uniquely qualified to serve the people of Virginia’s 10th District. She has seen first-hand the consequences of our current failed leadership: out-of-control cost of living, schools that are failing our children, and a weakened national defense. She is running for Congress to bring results-driven leadership to the 10th District.

Meeting, engaging, and working with people across the world during her time as a Marine afforded Aliscia a unique perspective and understanding of the world and human life. That experience in service to others remains a priority. In her free time, Aliscia continues to serve her community. She volunteers with disadvantaged children’s groups, church ministries, boys youth baseball teams, coaches cheerleading, and mentors transitioning Veterans. Aliscia resides in Aldie, Virginia with her husband, two sons, daughter, and puppy.

I'm a mom and Marine Veteran who's on a mission to fight for what matters most: our children, our country, and our freedoms."

Aliscia's Priorities

on the issues

  • Education

We must keep drugs OUT of schools, let our kids be kids, secure parental rights, and hold our schools safe and accountable.

  • Veterans

As a Marine Veteran, I know how vital protecting veteran benefits is. I will be a staunch advocate for our veterans and ensure they have what they deserve.

  • National Security

As a national security policy expert, I understand that protecting the US from both foreign and domestic threats and ensuring that the U.S. has the infrastructure to protect against the increasing number of cyber attacks is a TOP priority.

  • Economy

Our families are struggling under the current administration. It's time to lower the cost of living, reduce energy prices, cut taxes and allow our families to start thriving again.

  • Cybersecurity

Aliscia Andrews has a background in cyber and understands the importance of having strong infrastructure and personnel to keep the U.S. safe.

  • Drugs & Fentanyl

WE MUST secure our border, get drugs off the street and put dealers behind bars for good.
